"This beautiful, functional shade arrive with a tiny, flimsy cord that broke twice before they finally got it right. The Blinds.com people were right on the case in making sure I was finally satisfied, providing free postage to the manufacturer to restring the mechanism. Here's hoping this pricey (for us) Christmas gift is sturdy enough to last years, not days, before breaking again. Difficult to install in our window area. The blackout function is a layer of thick, heavy fabric, which may have caused the cord breakage, and detracts from the flow of the exterior fabric, but eliminates ALL the light--a plus!"

"These were easy for my husband to install. The cords work well, and the shades look nice and tailored. In the end I might have preferred a fabric shade to this one, which is a thicker material, but the blackout feature works great."

"Although the blackout Roman shades were a little difficult to snap in place, once up they saved our great room from the blinding afternoon sunshine. We live in the country and have a wonderful view and didn't want to put up curtains. The blackout blinds pull up out of the way and are attactive either up or down."

"These roman shades are neat, sharp and a great product for the "sunny, hot" mornings or nap time in Arizona. Darkening quality is excellent. Easy to install!!! Perfect when using something such as a rich, burgundy scarf as color and accent."

"We chose the black out shade for our bedroom in conjunction with a roller shade in order to maintain privacy and allow us to sleep in (if we were ever that lucky). We have furniture below the window so standard curtains wouldn't work. The shipping was fast, the quality was great and we were quite pleased to find a product that would cover the entire length of our window on only one rod (105 inches). Because our shade is so big, it can take a little bit of muscle to raise it with the standard cord, but I don't think that would be a problem for a smaller shade."

"Hi, This is the first time I have answered a post-pruchase survey, but I was inspired to do so by the cool system you employed to request my opinion and by my extreme satisfaction with the shades I bought. My husband and I were looking for mid-quality roman shades for our bed and bath. AFter browsing several other possible vendors, we settled on blinds.com. The website was easy to use and the pictures good. Not a wide selection of fabrics but we were looking for simple anyway and the price was right. Three things happened after ordering. The custom shades (cut to fit) came in 2 days, they fit perfectly and were very easy to install. The fabric was of a higher quality than I expected and the hardware and pulls were just as I expected; all around a terrific experience that I would mention to my friends."

"I was hesitant to order shades online, but blinds.com made the process easy. The shade is beautiful and the color matches the free swatch I requested. The blackout shade truly does block out all the light in the room. I only gave the installation 3 stars because I have such a large window (nearly 10' wide) that I had to hire someone to install them. I imagine with a smaller shade that the process would have been easy, and the instructions looked very clear. I would definitely recommend the blackout shade and blinds.com to anyone looking for window treatments that are cheaper than elsewhere, but still high quality."

"Great choice for my 18 years old sons room; which was hard to find anything he liked with his room being black! Saying my son and I love the roman blind would be an understatement! We had a difficult size for you to make, and who knew if the roman would be a good fit for that window but it was fantastic!!! So wasy to install too! It looks beautiful; but if you ask my son, "It's cool!""

"product leaves approximately 1/2 - 1 inch gap on either side of the shade...the shade was supposed to block out the light...which the acutal shade does...but with the gaps on the sides it doesn't really matter as plenty of light comes in from there. I also found it difficult to snap the blind onto the bracket and also find that it falls off from time to time. Also...one of the cords fell off the first time I opened the shade...Blinds.com fixed it which was great...but the blinds cords are very fragile."

"My rating on the Blackout Roman Shade was based on three major aspects of the overall order, quality, service and customer satisfaction. The fabric quality, blackout feature and ease of hanging were more then satisfactory. Several days after they were hung, I noticed a problem. The hems at the bottom, which were glued, were coming apart. I made a call to Blinds.com who immediately sent me a return shipping label and a set of temporary binds while the situation was remedied. It was determined the seam glue was defective and Blinds.com allowed me to select a different style of similar value. Blinds.com was professional with the exchange and I was pleasantly surprised when they supplied a temporary set of blinds while waiting for my new order. They stood behind their product until I, the customer, was satisfied. By the way, I love the replacement window treatments and have had no problems with them, they look fantastic.
Sincerely, A truly satisfied customer Al, New York, NY"

"Service was great. Its always nice to have more selection though....More fabric choices would be nice, and maybe hardware as well...But you can't beat the price of blinds.com, and I like that they are able to fit pretty much any window."
